About
This site is all about sharing recipes for good food.
- We have ‘em – you get ‘em
- You have ‘em – you share ‘em
- We all eat better!
The number of recipes featured here will always be “small” compared to the big recipe sites like http://www.food.com/ or similar. However, the recipes that we feature will be the ones *WE* use.
In particular, the recipes that my family will present here are recipes that we have gathered over the past 50 years of life in the South. Most of our foods have a distinctly “Cajun” or “Southwestern” flavor. We also cook a lot of Old South (Mississippi) foods. I hope you enjoy them all. If so, please leave a comment or a “Like.”
I hope you will contribute the recipes that YOU use as well. The “Share a Recipe” page (button in the main menu above) will allow you to upload your recipe in a format that our service will be able to utilize. Be aware that recipes uploaded by non-registered users must be reviewed prior to publication. If you register on our site, your recipes will appear immediately.
Note on Copyright: Normally, a recipe is not copyrighted unless it is “accompanied by substantial literary expression” (see http://www.copyright.gov/fls/fl122.html for more info). Therefore, you are free to copy, print and use any recipe found on this site. You are not allowed to duplicate the essential contents of the site in either printed or electronic form.
Some cookbooks are copyrighted. Since many recipes are handed down and modified along the way, it is very difficult to determine if a recipe is restricted by some copyright somewhere. Please do not upload any recipe that you know is copyright restricted.
If you see a recipe here that you are certain is in violation of copyright protection, please leave a comment for the webmaster and give the particulars of (1) the recipe; (2) who owns the copyright and (3) where more information can be found. This site will not knowingly publish any work that is restricted by copyright and we will take down any content, that upon investigation, proves to be in violation of copyright law.
